Just got the invitation for this 2008summer blog so this would be my first entry.
I’m currently having my OJT in Infobuilder located in Richmonde Plaza, somewhere in Ortigas. I’m with Paolo, Ivy, Cere and Kc. This is technically our second month here because we started last February although our schedule then was really not that regular. Yes, I took the risk of having the training and my acads at the same time.. and with how things are turning out these days I think I made the right decision… because it allowed me to take another class(GE subject) this summer.
Back then we were only required to train/work for 8 hours a week. It was up to us how we’ll complete those hours. My schedule would shift from tuesadays (5 to 7 pm) to wednesdays (1 to 6 pm), these are all after my classes in UP. It was very difficult at first. The travelling part really wore me out more than anything else. But when I got used to it, it was just as if attending to my next class.
Our project has FundRaising Toolkit as its working title. It is a web-based database application system for NGO’ s <Non-government orgranization> fund raising programs. It is being developed using MS Visual Studio 2008 and MS SQL. There are different modules assigned to the five of us. My first module was the FAQs page of both the admin and the public. Next is the Volunteer Mangement module. I would further discuss these things on my next blog which would be on Monday since I still need to ask for permission for the uploading of pictures..
