Last Friday, we got out of the office at around noon… well, it was more of an hour after noon. We actually planned to work for only half the day so that we could go to UP Diliman and submit the CS 195 requirements to Ate Mila (good thing our supervisors allowed us to do so). But before we could leave, we first finished our project documentation and submitted it to our project consultant. After that, we had our lunch at the nearest fastfood establishment to our office building (guess which famous, American, yellow-and-red-arched fastfood establishment that is).
Commuting during a summer-day afternoon is… simply… suicide. It’s not that I’m not used to the summer heat, but I guess I got too used to staying in an air-conditioned office for eight hours a day. When we finally arrived at COELACS, I thought that our business there would be finished in an instant, but I was wrong. We first had to get our Form 5’s photocopied (no photocopying services at the COLEACS Library that day, so we had to go to the College of Science Library). Fortunately, we were not that unlucky, for the CoS Library was open, and their photocopying service was available. To our (next) surprise, Ate Mila was not in that day, so we just left our papers at the Security Group room and entrusted it to Red Deinla (probably not a good idea, haha), who was with his CS 195 peers Ralph Pineda and Marte Soliza. After that, my co-interns went to Melchor Hall, while I headed out and went home.
Yesterday (Monday), Sir Roqs suggested to us that we start converting what we have done for the Friendster App and integrate it into Spring MVC. He opened up different files from a past project that used the Spring MVC and explained some aspects of it to Dru and myself. To be honest, it was kind of confusing and a bit difficult to follow, but we were still able to understand some parts of Sir Roqs lecture. It is now up to us to do what he wants so that we could progress in the project development. I first have to read more on Spring and the concepts that surround it (I thought that the stuff I read before was enough). I then need to start to contribute more and work with Dru so that no time will be wasted. Hopefully, we would finish something, anything by tomorrow (Wednesday) or by next week, which is our prototype deadline, haha!
