Tuesdays with Morrie?
I was still really sleepy Tuesday morning. I could not condition myself to work on my tasks but i was trying. At around 9:30, i was beginning to get off the sleepy phase and thus was able to do some things. During the afternoon, i had trouble figuring out the excel sheets and spent most of my time figuring out and trying out some stuff.

Food Glorious Food!
ahh yes..Soo much free food today. A little after 10:30, food from the Intercontinental Seminar arrived: Blueberry muffins that tasted soooo goooood!, and sapin-sapin which i was not able to try. Then early afternoon was some halo-halo (yumyum!) and siomai from chowking care of Sir Dennis, i think. And late in the afternoon was more food from the InterContinental Seminar again.
Brain fried…
I really wasn’t too hesitant to get myself some food this time. My brain was really too tired thinking of a possible way to integrate and synchronize worksheets in an excel file. So, my energy booster was food! Even then, my brain was still shaken! You might be saying “how could excel work be so difficult?”… I am wondering the same thing. But this is not just your ordinary excel work where you drag and copy and paste cells.. no! not even formulas suffice to do the job.. neither does the VB coding.. yes, yes.. it’s a combination of those and more! If im thinking right. I did not expect this task to be so difficult. Mei Ann already gave me a hand but both of us find ourselves lost and stuck from time to time. And yes! still no solution…
late at night when all the world is…going home
Mei ann and I left the office at 8:10 pm. Yup! That was time check waiting for the elevator to open its doors at the 27th floor. We were given a task around 5:00. I had to put a 0 at the beginning of the 3rd column of a text file delimited by commas. I had 25 files of 5000 rows each. I spent a good few minutes thinking how i should go about it and some more minutes looking for applications that could find and replace spaces and tabs, etc. Word was being its usual self. It hanged a lot! So it used up some time as well.. I had methods of simplifying the tasks. I used excel and other to format the 3rd column and other applications to find and replace. But to my dismay, excel could not get the exact value of the 2nd row. And i did not notice! Good thing Mei ann did.. So it was start all over, this time i used the VB6 editor to find and replace since it was faster doing the job than word and notepad. Yes, it took that long to do it. Actually at 7:15 i was done the first time. Then at around 8:00 i was done the second time. Mei ann helped out despite the task she had to do as well. My goodness! I know it was my fault why we went home so late. But really, i was tired and used the methods that i thought would do the job.
I was really tired at the end of the day. I was expecting to be seated at the MRT.. and you guessed right! I stood the entire trip. I arrived in UP at 9:15.
Wednesday was too much for me! i hope today would be different.
