For the next three days I was coding the algorithm that I came up with for the job scheduling. I was glad that at least it’s working and I kept on consulting Sir Jason (Team Lead) to make sure that I’m on the right track. And yey, by Friday I was able to fully implement my solution to the job scheduling! But, I’m not finish with my module yet. There’s more! <haha>
So, in our meeting, I presented that I’m already able to connect to the Web Service, and the job scheduling is already working. But, like I said, there’s more. I still have to integrate my module with my OJTmates’ modules, and the job scheduling has part two. <hehe> But, Sir Gerry (Team Lead) said that it’s okay to do the job scheduling part two at a later time because it’s just a nice-to-have feature.
Then, after the status updates, they told us that they planned to use Ibatis for connecting to the database. Right now, each module still has its own connection to the database. But, with Ibatis, it will be different. There will be a framework and mapping. So, that’s our goal for next week. Remodel our codes to include Ibatis and to integrate our modules.
At the end of our meeting Sir Gerry told us that we have a good progress this week <Yey! Yey!>. And they we’re joking that maybe next week we are already finished with the project. <haha> Well, so far so good…
P.S. Again to the people I consulted, our Team Leads and Mentors, THANK YOU!
MRT Experience Episode 2: With so many people trying to get in, I was pushed inside the driver’s compartment. This is great! If given the chance, I would have pushed all the controlling buttons there. <haha>
