May 12-13, 2008
Here are my goals for this week:
1. Mon - Tues: remodel and integrate
2. Wed - Fri: job scheduling part two (manually triggered while the first one is automated)
But, no. Reality hurts. I encountered so many errors when I tried to integrate my module with my OJTmates’ codes. I was worried because the errors are really caused by my codes. And if this doesn’t work, then I’m doomed. I have to start all over again. <huhu>
With the first error that I got (java.util.zip.ZipException), it took me the whole of Monday to resolve that and when I have no energy anymore and I’ve already used up my resources, I already asked Sir Paski’s (Mentor) help. And, whew! He solved it! The culprit: corrupt jar file.
Then, there’s a new error. I thought it will be easier this time because it is related to database connection. But, it took me another whole day again to figure out the problem. The problem: incompatible jar file.
So, for these two days, I always went home late, at around 7pm, but it’s so frustrating that I just spent my days debugging. <*sigh*> I guess the goal of finishing my module this week is going to be impossible. Maybe I aimed high too much. <haha>
By the way, we also had an Ibatis session on Monday afternoon with Sir Deo (Team Lead) and Sir Jason D (Mentor) also gave us references.
P.S. Thanks again to our Team Leads, Mentors, and OJTmates who helped me! ^_^
MRT Experience Special Episode 3-4: When I thought last Friday was the worst, well there’s worse than worst!
Monday: Strike. So expect that there will be more people. But it’s already late so Pearl and I thought that there will only be few. Well, below is our picture on our way home.
Tuesday: I woke up early because I want to be early at the office. But I still arrived at my usual arrival time. I was stranded. The MRT was delayed because there’s this lady who was trying to get in and she was stopping the doors from closing until the train broke down. Err.
I really hope this is the last episode.
